10 KW Solar Power Project at Kanchi Mutt near Chennai, India
Yieldopia will implement a 10KW Solar PV installation project at 'Kanchi Mutt', located in the heart of Kanchipuram city, near Chennai, India. This will be first of its kind PV installation in India. In the first phase of the project, the power generation capacity of the system will be around 10KW. In addition to installation services, Yieldopia will also provide a complete energy audit to enable more efficient utilization of energy.
This project is being funded by ardent devotees of the Mutt in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the holy seer, his Honorable Highness Shri Jayendra Saraswati. The project is expected to begin in late fall and will be commissioned before the end of the year.
Yieldopia Team helps a 501c Retreat Center go GREEN!
Yieldopia completed a detailed energy audit at the Chinmaya Mission's Worldwide retreat center located in the small town of Piercy, 200 miles north of San Francisco. Yieldopia has recommended a 45 KW Solar Photovoltaic generation to meet their electrical energy needs. Additionaly, a Solar hot water plant will be installed to meet the needs of Kitchen and the Dining area. It has been tentatively agreed upon that the Solar PV project will start in the fourth week of August 2009.
